Jane Randolph, Licensing Agent

COMPANY PROFILE

Full service licensing firm provides seamless synergy between artists and manufacturers

Jane Randolph, founder of Leo Licensing, LLC of Baxter, Tennessee has applied her comprehensive licensing skills to forge a dynamic synergy between the artists represented and the licensing partners that we serve.

"Leo Licensing has proved a solid reputation as a reliable, on-time licensing firm, controlling the capacity to make projects happen, because we have no extra layers of management," Randolph says. "When Leo Licensing commits to a project, we complete it in a timely manner, because we understand that our reputation is measured by our performance. Our commitment to excellence in product development and service motivates us to achieve the wanted results.  Our clients know that we deliver on time, every time."

"Leo Licensing is a five year old business, but we are not new to the business of licensing," Randolph upholds. "I have a deep and enduring passion for fine art licensing, and have enjoyed the opportunity to focus my attention and efforts more only in that arena."

The team's broad-based background of working with artists, manufacturers, sales representatives and showrooms, laid the professional groundwork for Leo Licensing. Everything I have learned and performed to this point has prepared me for our latest venture. "Our varied licensing experiences have encouraged us to think in layered, multidimensional terms that encompass the needs and expectations of all parties involved in the licensing partnership," adds Randolph.

Before co-founding Leo Licensing, Randolph’s background included work as an outside sales rep in the gift industry, co-founder of a start-up manufacturing company in the beauty industry, and owning her own business for nine years.  Most recently, Randolph served as Director of Licensing for art publisher TN, for eight-and-a-half years.  Her previous positions with this company also included National Sales Manager and Special Events Manager, as well as helping in various areas throughout the company.  In these positions, she was responsible for supervision of inside and outside sales representatives; coordination of trade show activities; and projecting future trends in product styles, designs and motifs

Power In Small Numbers

Randolph manages Leo Licensing as a tightly knit, industry savvy licensing firm whose small numbers belie its powerful industry influence. Leo Licensing is firmly committed to providing its clientele with a full range of services needed to grow their businesses. These services include promotion of meetings; specialization in new product development; creation of direct mail campaigns; and customized consulting.

The Leo Licensing team understands the licensing industry from both the business and creative sides. "We excel at examining a manufacturer’s line, and deciding complementary products, which will grow their business.  We know how to identify artists whose work will strengthen such products, and we work closely with our clients to help them imagine the result.  In addition, our extensive backgrounds in the art publishing field helps when working with artists to develop the fitting artwork," Randolph says.

Building A Team of Talented Artists

Leo Licensing was created to identify and promote talented artists in the licensing field, and to brand their style to improve the collectibility of their artwork. We have strict criteria, which is considered before signing a new artist.   Unique and appealing style, exceptional talent and professional business standards are only a few of the criteria important for forging a strong working relationship.  "Our artists are dedicated professionals, who approach their work as a profession and not a hobby," Randolph stresses.

The firm’s team of licensed artists also understands the importance of delivering work on a timely basis and conceptualizing their art designs in terms of series or collections of products. "Many artists do not have that creative flexibility," Randolph says. "Our artists are encouraged to think and create in a way that is conducive to the needs of manufacturers. They are thoroughly committed to providing clientele with the special imagery they need to expand their product offerings."

Leo Licensing currently represents Brenda Harris Tustian, Paul Blakey, Kim Schafer, Camille Riggs, Joan Morgan,  Steven Spangler, Marianne Hudak, Ned Levine,  Laura Peters, Shannon Grissom, Gary Michaels and Barnes & Co. The firm licenses in the following product categories: gift books, greeting cards, glass Christmas ornaments, coasters, comfort mats, garden flags, cutting boards, needlepoint kits, scrapbook pages, puzzles, address labels, gift bags, rubber stamps, etc.
