Love Lifted Me

Painting of Love Lifted Me

"Love Lifted Me" is all about love. It's all about caring, and it's all about prayers being answered. It's all about our children that we can lift to greater heights. Abundant love goes into the care, and untold amounts of energy go into the efforts to find cures to heal our children. So many special children of all nationalities and every walk of life are touched by the love that is shared. To honor our children and to honor those who lift them up, please open your hearts to the story told in "Love Lifted Me".

The first thing you notice is Santa lifting a little girl, symbolizing the message that, in lifting, we are lifted. The medical symbol on the package honors all in the medical services and their support personnel. The doctor and the nurse symbolize those professionals who have studied long and hard dedicating their lives to helping our children. The little clown on Santa's bag honors those who have donated their talents and time to encourage and lift the children with laughter. The carousel horse is in tribute to those who have given of their talents in making magical moments for our children. A Yellow Lab is with the boy in the wheelchair to honor our canine friends and their trainers for their dedication in bringing joy and friendship. The two children and the angel, arm-in-arm, encourage and remind each of us to wrap our arms around the children, for we are all needed in the process of their healing. The lamb in the little girl's arms reminds us of the hope that each child and each parent carry in their hearts each day. The cardinal and bluebird keep us focused on the springtime of things yet to come for the children. The butterfly on Santa's shoulder will soon fly, as our children will as they are lifted and healed. There are green ribbons in the town, on the little boy's jacket, on the packages, and throughout the painting, symbolizing the gift of life provided by organ donors. In appreciation of the thirty years of tireless work done by "Festival of Trees" volunteers, their logo can be found on Santa's bag.

One special feature is that the gift in the foreground can be personalized for that someone who needs lifting or in appreciation of that person who has lifted.

So, finally, as a child is being lifted up and the snow is gently falling as if being sent by angels, look closely and you will find that the hundreds of snowflakes are little hearts of love-love as white as snow, as are the hearts of each of you who have unselfishly given.
